2017 San Pedro Fish Market Scholarship

Below are the contest guidelines:

Name of Scholarship:  San Pedro Fish Market Scholarship

Who can enter:  Students from Mary Star High School, Banning High School, POLA High School, San Pedro High School, and Baxter High School are eligible.

How Much will be awarded: There will be four winners: $1000.00 to one student from each school.

How to enter:   Post a video, preferably under 4 minutes,  to YOUTUBE (any YouTube page is fine) where you tell the viewers WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR COMMUNITY!  THEY MUST ACKNOWLEDGE IN THE FIRST 10 SECONDS they are doing this to enter the San Pedro Fish Market Scholarship contest.  When they post, the video must have TWO HASHTAGS:
1.  #ilovesanpedro or #ilovewilmington or both!
2.  One of the following so we know what high school they’re from:

Additional Rules: Videos must adhere to YouTube’s rules, regulations and code of conduct, including: No foul language, inappropriate behavior, or anything of like or the video will no be accepted.   Here’s a link for more information: https://www.youtube.com/t/community_guidelines.

When to enter:  Any videos posted from Feb 20th, 2017 through April 15, 2017 are eligible to win. The number of video views will continue to be counted for the contest until May 5, 2017.

How to WIN: The video with THE MOST VIEWS from each high school will win the Scholarship.  Winners will be announced in a private ceremony held at San Pedro Fish Market on May 11, 2017.

Purpose of the Scholarship:   We want people accross the ENTIRE WORLD to see how much the kids of our Community love their hometowns.  Show your LA Harbor Area Pride!  We go out of our way to make it easy to love the LA Harbor and we want to use this contest to teach the next generation to love the Harbor as well.
